From citizens apprehending a robbery suspect to officers performing life saving resuscitation to municipal staff handling a traumatic call for help, acts of bravery and dedication to the community were recognized at last night’s Surrey RCMP Officer in Charge Awards held at the Surrey Arts Centre.
Local officer recognized for outstanding service in policing
Surrey RCMP Inspector Trent Rolfe was awarded the prestigious Order of Merit of the Police Forces by the Governor General of Canada today at a special ceremony in Ottawa in recognition of his outstanding contributions to policing.

Starting tomorrow, the Surrey RCMP’s Missing Persons Unit will be making a monthly public appeal to generate tips on a selection of historic missing persons cases.
